Why OkieOTSec
I’ve spent 16 years around operational technology: field work, SCADA screens, radios on towers, and now security. Most of what I learned came from doing the work, not from a course. This site is where I’ll share it.
What’s coming
- A two-cell OT lab, built in the open. Two simulated work cells with their own PLC logic, one HMI, a historian, a firewall in front, and an attacker VM. Then the detections that catch it.
- Remote and field OT. Radio, telemetry and RTUs don’t get much attention in OT security content. I’ve installed that gear, so I’ll write about it.
- Notes for people getting into OT security. What I wish someone had told me when I moved from SCADA into security.
Everything here is built on my own equipment in fictional environments.
